For women
A doctor who starts by believing you.
PVT's women's service covers confidential STI screening, menopause and perimenopause care, HRT, PCOS, low desire and painful sex, led by a doctor in a private room.
Many women arrive here after years of being told their symptoms are stress, or age, or something to live with. The consult starts from a different assumption: if a symptom is interfering with your life, it deserves a work-up and a plan.

Why people come in
If any of these sound familiar, they are worth one conversation. All of them are common, and all of them are workable.
You want a proper STI check
A new partner, a doubt about an old one, or routine peace of mind. Testing is private, judgement-free, and usually answered within three days.
Sleep, mood and flushes are wearing you down
Perimenopause can start years before periods stop. If symptoms are interfering with your life, treatment options exist now, not at some future milestone.
Sex has become uncomfortable
Dryness and pain with sex are among the most treatable symptoms in this field, often with simple local treatment. They are also the least talked about.
Your cycle has never behaved
Irregular periods, stubborn acne or excess hair can point to PCOS, which affects about one in ten women. A structured work-up gives you an actual diagnosis.
Desire has gone quiet
Low libido has real causes: hormones, medication, pain, exhaustion, relationship season. Finding the cause is what makes it fixable.
You are planning a pregnancy
Preconception screening catches infections that can affect fertility or a baby, while there is time to treat them. Partners can be screened in the same visit.

Yes. Perimenopause and menopause are core services here, not afterthoughts. Symptoms are scored with a validated questionnaire, options including HRT are discussed honestly with actual numbers, and you leave with a written plan and a scheduled review.
Yes, where it is appropriate for you. Your doctor reviews your personal and family history first, prefers transdermal oestrogen where suitable, and adds local vaginal oestrogen for dryness. Non-hormonal options are offered where HRT is unsuitable or unwanted.
Often, yes. Many screens work with a urine sample, self-taken swabs and bloods. Where an examination genuinely adds information, your doctor explains why first and nothing happens without your consent.
Completely. Painful sex has identifiable causes, from dryness and hormonal change to infection and pelvic floor tension, and most respond to specific treatment. It deserves a consult of its own, not a passing mention.
You pay upfront and choose whether to claim. If you do not submit the invoice, nothing reaches the scheme. If you do, the invoice shows Dr D Moodley Inc with standard consult codes, and never the word PVT.
