Hormone care · Cape Town
Your bloodwork has answers your willpower doesn't.
Fatigue, flat libido, broken sleep and moods that swing are easy to blame on yourself. Often they are hormonal, measurable on a morning blood test, and treatable under proper monitoring. Men's and women's pathways run side by side here.
Pick your lane
Men
Testosterone, measured properly
- Fatigue that sleep does not repair
- Libido gone quiet, fewer morning erections
- Workouts that stopped paying off
- Flat mood, short fuse, no drive
Two morning blood tests and a safety baseline before anything is prescribed. If TRT is right for you, it comes with scheduled monitoring. If your levels are normal, you get told so.
The men's hormone serviceWomen

- Stubborn acne or excess hair (possible PCOS)
Validated symptom scoring, bloods only where they change the decision, HRT with transdermal options preferred, and local treatment for dryness. Reviewed a month in, adjusted to you.

Why we draw bloods before 10am
Testosterone peaks early and slides through the day. The same man can look deficient at 4pm and normal at 8am, so we only diagnose on morning values.
One assessment, two pathways
Both lanes start the same way: symptoms scored, morning bloods drawn, then a plan matched to what the numbers actually show.
- 1
Symptom review with a validated questionnaire
- 2
Morning bloods at the lab
- 3
Eligibility and safety check
- 4
Treatment plan with scheduled monitoring
What hormone problems look like
Low Testosterone
Low testosterone is a hormone deficiency in men causing fatigue, low libido and reduced drive, confirmed with morning blood tests and treatable with monitored testosterone therapy.
Learn moreErectile Dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction is persistent difficulty getting or keeping an erection firm enough for sex, and in most men it has an identifiable, treatable cause.
Learn morePremature Ejaculation
Premature ejaculation is ejaculating sooner than you or your partner would like, usually within a minute or two of penetration, and it is common and treatable.
Learn moreMenopause & Perimenopause
Menopause is the point when periods stop permanently, and perimenopause is the hormonal transition before it; symptoms of both are real and very treatable.
Learn morePCOS
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal condition causing irregular periods, acne, excess hair and sometimes fertility difficulty, and it is very manageable with the right plan.
Learn moreLow Libido / Low Desire
Low libido is a persistent drop in sexual desire, in men or women, with many possible causes ranging from hormones to medication to life circumstances, most of them addressable.

You test rather than guess. A validated symptom questionnaire plus targeted morning bloods at the blood lab settle whether testosterone, thyroid, perimenopause or PCOS explains what you are feeling. Either answer is useful: confirmed causes get treated, and a normal result points the search somewhere better.
R650 for the first visit, which includes your first blood results and a script where treatment is agreed. If treatment starts, a R450 review about a month later checks your levels are tracking. Each visit is paid on the day, and Lancet bills the bloods separately.
Testosterone peaks before 10am and can fall by a third through the day, so an afternoon result can make a normal man look deficient. Morning draws, repeated to confirm, are the standard we diagnose on. Women's panels are timed to the cycle where that matters.
Monitored, always. TRT comes with scheduled checks of testosterone, red blood cells and prostate markers. HRT comes with a symptom and dose review about a month in. Nothing here runs on repeat scripts without a doctor looking at the numbers.
Yes, and in one visit if you like. The history and blood draw overlap, so combining them is usually cheaper and quicker than treating them as two problems at two practices.
