The P-Shot
The P-shot is an injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prepared from your own blood, into penile tissue, offered for erectile function within a defined clinical protocol.
The P-shot follows a specific, standardised protocol for preparing and injecting PRP. It is performed by a doctor at 15 on Orange after numbing cream has taken full effect.
How it works
A standard blood sample is drawn from your arm, exactly as at any lab visit. The sample is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, the blood component involved in tissue repair and growth factor release.
After topical anaesthetic has had time to work, the platelet-rich plasma is injected into defined points in the penile tissue. The full appointment takes under an hour, and the injection itself only minutes.
Because the material comes from your own blood, allergic reaction risk is very low. The most common after-effects are mild bruising or tenderness for a day or two.
What the evidence says
PRP research in sexual medicine is at an early stage. A small number of controlled trials suggest possible short-term improvement in erection scores for mild to moderate ED, while reviews consistently call for larger and longer studies. Professional urology bodies regard penile PRP as investigational. We offer it on that basis, stated plainly, and your doctor will tell you if the evidence does not support it for your situation.
Who tends to be a candidate
Men with mild to moderate ED who understand the investigational status, and men seeking an alternative or addition to tablets after a proper work-up. Men on blood thinners, with active infections, or with untreated underlying causes are usually advised against it or asked to treat those first.
